UA Unity Hub

Net-zero, fossil-free eco-community core hub designed as a permanent multifunctional centre.

UA Unity Hub represents our most ambitious project to date: a net-zero, fossil-free eco-community core hub in the Carpathian region of Ukraine. Unlike emergency infrastructure, this is designed as a permanent multifunctional centre serving as the heart of an emerging eco-community.

Planned spaces include: yoga/movement studio; library/quiet spaces; workshop/maker spaces; event/gathering spaces; and workspaces/learning areas.

Key design principles: fossil-free energy systems; autonomy via solar/wind/batteries/heat pumps; passive/high efficiency; climate-conscious architecture; long-term comfort/dignity; replicable model.

The project is delivered by a consortium of six partners: Geodesic.Life (design, building management); Calling Bridge Limited (LCA, AI-driven sensors); Futures Advisory Limited (management, communications, evaluation); Tepla Gora Foundation (location management, logistics, GEDSI); Institute of Engineering Thermophysics (structural and energy simulations); and NGO 001 (renewable energy, HVAC, heat pumps, LCA reports).

This project leverages and scales the infrastructure initiated during Tepla Gora Transformations (started 2022). The earlier infrastructure work becomes the foundation for this more comprehensive development.
